How do they work with Facial and License Plate Recognition?
They add a layer of context that links descriptive data to verified identities, delivering smarter connections and faster insights.
What details can they detect?
From clothing and colors to vehicles and carried items, AI Attribute Tags capture the details that matter most, filtered by time or place.
How do they simplify video review?
Simply type what you need, like “blue hoodie” or “delivery truck”, and every matching moment appears instantly.
What are AI Attribute Tags?
AI Attribute Tags automatically detect and tags people, objects, colors, and traits in every frame, turning video into organized, searchable intelligence.
What power options do these cameras support?
You can power them using PoE, PoE+, or USB-C.
What is the difference between our C-12 and C-16 cameras?
In traditional fisheye cameras, the image sensor is rectangular in shape with the lens picking up a circular section of that rectangle. In the case of our C-12 camera, the image sensor is 12MP, but due to the wasted pixels that the lens cannot see, you effectively receive a 9MP image. However, for our revolutionary C-16 camera we have said goodbye to wasted pixels and said hello to a square sensor, meaning that the lens picks up the whole image. The C-16 camera will stream the full 12.5MP image, changing the fisheye game forever.
What is dewarping?
Dewarping is the process of correcting the distorted, curved image produced by a fisheye lens to make it look more natural and usable. Fisheye lenses provide ultra-wide fields of view (180-degree or 360-degree), but the raw image appears highly curved and warped. Dewarping helps to: Convert the fisheye image into a flat, natural-looking view. Allow digital PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) on the image for better viewing. Improve usability in panoramic surveillance cameras and systems.
What is a fisheye lens good for?
A fisheye lens is great for capturing ultra-wide, panoramic views without blind spots, making the ideal for situational awareness. These lenses typically offer a 360-degree or 180-degree field of view, making them useful for numerous applications. With Oncam's proprietary dewarping technology, we can straighten the panoramic image, pan, tilt and zoom and display a much more user-friendly image, like a regular NFoV camera.
When should I choose Oncam’s fisheye cameras?
Choose Oncam fisheye cameras when you need complete 360° visibility and maximum situational awareness. Ideal for large or open spaces, they capture every angle in a single view, reducing blind spots and simplifying monitoring. Built for both indoor and outdoor use, they’re perfect for warehouses, retail stores, parking areas, lobbies, campuses, and event venues.
