What do we mean by tampering as an analytic?
When we refer to tempering, we mean the image is blurry, too bright, too dark or there has been a whole scene change. With our advanced analytics, the camera detects when one of these things occurs and sends an alert to the cloud. Each user can customise their settings to decide on how they are notified of any alerts. Options for alerts are, browser notification, email or push notifications to our mobile app.
Can you set an alarm for a specific person?
Yes. Within our intuitive Oncam Core platform, you can save and upload facial images and add identifiers such as their names, to set alerts for specific people, ensuring you are always kept up to date with people of interest.
How many people can you track in each scene?
You are able to track up to 32 people in a scene with Oncam Core’s advanced AI analytics.
Can I back up my camera to another camera in my network?
All Oncam cameras feature dual SD card slots, providing up to 3TB of onboard storage. With our advanced Cross Camera Backup, footage from one camera can automatically be backed up to another nearby device — ensuring video is preserved even if a camera is vandalized or goes offline. What is the minimum bandwidth requirement per camera?
As the recordings are captured on the camera, no internet bandwidth is required to capture video with our Oncam devices. However, a basic internet connection is required to view the video recordings through our cloud-based platform. When on site and on the same network as the devices, recordings are accessed directly from the camera without using the internet. Oncam offers different video quality levels to support poor internet connection viewing.
Can Oncam’s Smart IP cameras work without internet?
Yes, Oncam’s Smart IP cameras can work without the internet, but there are some limitations depending on how they are set up. Remote viewing, cloud storage and smart features are not available without internet.
